888 Holdings plc has announced, following the completion of the acquisition of the international (non-US) business of William Hill, the expansion of the board of directors with the appointments of Andrea Gisle Joosen, Andria Vidler and Randy Freer in as independent non-executive directors with immediate effect.
Andrea Gisle Joosen
Andrea is a highly experienced non-executive director who has held leadership positions in several international technology and consumer goods companies. Andrea is currently a non-executive director of Currys plc in the UK and Billerud AB in Sweden.
She previously chaired Acast AB, headquartered in Sweden, and was a non-executive director at ICA Gruppen, James Hardie Industries plc and Mr Green & Co, the online gaming business which was acquired by William Hill plc in 2018.
During her executive career, Andrea has held numerous senior positions in the media and technology sectors, including as CEO of Boxer TV Sweden and as Nordics Managing Director for Panasonic, Chantelle Group and Twentieth Century Fox.
Andria has 30 years of experience in marketing and technology, focusing on re-energizing brands through consumer engagement and digital innovation. Since 2020, she has been CEO of Tag EMEA, the independent end-to-end creative production partner for brands and agencies. Andria leads the global ESG strategy for Tag.
Andria spent the previous six years as CEO of Centaur Media PLC. Prior to Centaur, Andria spent four years as CEO of EMI Music UK & Ireland and held senior roles at Bauer Media and the BBC. She was non-executive for Gamesys PLC where she chaired the ESG committee. She was previously a trustee of the Media Trust and the Roundhouse Trust and chair of the Marketing Group of Great Britain.
Randy Freer is CEO of The Freer Company, which provides business insight and brand narrative advice to a wide range of businesses. Prior to founding The Freer Company, Randy was CEO of Hulu, the American subscription streaming service.
Prior to Hulu, Randy led the global entertainment and sports television assets of 21st Century Fox. As President and Chief Operating Officer of Fox Networks Group, he oversaw all areas of operations and distribution and advertising revenue, business development and strategy. Randy has also served on the boards of Hulu, National Geographic and Big Ten Network in this role. Randy was also previously Senior Advisor at McKinsey Consulting in TMT, Sports and Advertising Tech and Digital Transition.
