Mohegan Sun Pocono will add “exciting upgrades” via Project Starlight

A multi-million dollar capital improvement project is underway at Mohegan Sun Poconowhich aims to offer a series of improvements to further enhance the customer experience.

property, property of Mohegan Games and Funis due to open three additional locations starting this month, with a $10 million hotel renovation also underway.

Located on 400 acres in Plains, Pennsylvania, the property includes a 238-room hotel with an on-site spa and an adjacent 20,000-square-foot convention center.

In addition, it also has a 67,000 square foot gaming space which includes nearly 60 live table games, over 1700 electronic slots and table games, live harness racing, sports betting Unibet, a variety of dining and shopping options, nightlife and entertainment.

Beginning later this month, Mohegan Sun Pocono will launch hospitality destination Embers Terrace, which will be followed by The Hive Taphouse dining and entertainment offering over the coming summer, which will be followed by the Topgolf Swing Suites.

“These capital improvements under Project Starlight represent some of the most exciting improvements we’ve ever announced at MSP,” Anthony CarlucciPresident and CEO of Mohegan Sun Pocono said of the project on the Pennsylvania-based property.

“These offerings will not only enhance our live entertainment, but they will also bring a relaxing and fun outdoor experience as well as an amazing Topgolf Swing Suite venue. Our hotel’s 238 rooms will also have a brand new look by the end of the year.

The Mohegan Sun Pocono Hotel, which opened in 2014, will also undergo a major overhaul which, by the end of 2022, will see all 238 rooms completely refurbished.

“We have already modeled a few parts so far and the difference is remarkable. We’re confident our guests will absolutely love it,” added Carlucci.
