Motorsport Games Inc. announced that after an exciting 1st race, the stage is set for the second round of the Le Mans Virtual Series, the 6 Hours of Virtual Spa, scheduled for October 16, 2021 at 7:30 am EDT. Saturday’s race will have 38 registrations (list of registrations HERE). Le Mans Virtual Series is a joint venture between Motorsport Games – a leading racing game developer, publisher and provider of official motorsport racing series esports ecosystems across the world – and the Automobile Club of West (“ACO”) – the creators and organizers of the world renowned 24 Hours of Le Mans and promoter of the FIA ââWorld Endurance Championship (the “FIA WEC”).
The 2021-22 season of the Le Mans Virtual Series consists of 5 rounds, the 2sd including the 6 Hours of Virtual Spa. The 38 prototype endurance and grand touring pilots will compete virtually on the infamous Belgian 7-kilometer circuit, comprising famous bends and bends such as Eau Rouge, Raidillon, Stavelot and La Source. The live broadcast will feature main commentary from Duncan Vincent of the FIA ââWEC, along with Chris McCarthy and Lewis McGlade.
The second round of the Le Mans Virtual Series follows a successful 1st round that has seen over 2.6 million impressions worldwide and a thrilling victory for Realteam Hydrogen Redline. 1st The esports endurance racing championship round was an action-packed 4 Hours of Monza event on September 25, 2021. Over 2.6 million impressions of Monza on official channels during the year alone racing week paved the way for a successful series. Viewers can expect even more thrills and excitement for this next round! Realteam Hydrogen Redline pilots Dani Juncadella, Jeffrey Rietveld and Michal Smidl took 1st overall, while GPX Rebellion Esports and the Floyd Bykolles-Burst team finished in 2sd and 3rd place, respectively. Mitchell Dejong, Mack Bakkum and Martin Kronke of the Porsche Esports Team won Le Mans Grand Touring Endurance honors in a category that had no less than 5 different manufacturers represented.
Le Mans Virtual Series brings together top real-life drivers such as Jenson Button, Alex Palou, Stoffel Vandoorne, Louis Deletraz and a number of other top simulation drivers in the world to compete together in 5 endurance races ranging from 4 to Duration 24 hours. This year’s series will conclude with the virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans, which will take place live and televised at the Autosport International (âASIâ) show in Birmingham, UK, in January 2022.
